ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
As RuinAdalia Hotel and its employees, we aim to be a leader in environmental matters on a national and international scale, based on sustainable development strategies in the sector in which we operate, and to constantly improve and maximize our environmental performance.
This policy covers RuinAdalia Hotel and all its employees, suppliers and personnel involved in contracts with other organizations.
The Board of Directors is committed to fulfilling the requirements specified in this policy and expects its employees to fulfill the same commitments.
To achieve our goals;
- To comply with other relevant national and international requirements beyond the applicable legal environmental legislation, to constantly review and improve our environmental management, to report our environmental impacts annually in our sustainability reports,
- Defining all environmental dimensions with a life cycle approach and evaluating their effects, eliminating and improving environmental risks, reducing them to acceptable levels, preventing pollution in order to achieve the determined goals and objectives, protecting the environment, historical monuments and natural resources,
- To carry out the necessary studies on the efficient use of natural resources and the reduction of the amount and intensity of carbon dioxide emissions within the scope of combating climate change, to determine and monitor the goals and targets for this purpose, to review the changes and accordingly to increase the studies on the use of renewable energy resources and energy efficiency,
- During our activities, we consume water, energy, raw materials, chemicals, etc. To reduce our consumption by adopting the sustainable, efficient and economical use of resource consumption, and to adopt clean production technologies and the best available techniques that will prevent and reduce the waste generation resulting from our activities within the framework of the circular economy, and minimize all kinds of emissions, greenhouse gas emissions and their effects on the environment,
- In all our processes, ensuring the purchase of sustainable products and services with high energy efficiency, minimal environmental impact, supporting designs for energy performance and continuous improvement,
- To fulfill our environmental responsibilities within the framework of the needs and expectations of all our employees and stakeholders by approaching our employees, guests, government institutions, suppliers, shareholders, stakeholders and society with respect regarding the protection of the environment and protecting our historical monuments, for this purpose; To prepare our environmental reports regularly and share them transparently, to monitor and continuously improve our environmental performance, to increase their awareness of the environment and to improve their level of awareness by providing all kinds of communication and cooperation with the relevant parties, providing necessary information, training, etc. We aim to engage in activities.
SUSTAINABILITY POLICY
We, as RuinAdalia Hotel, have embarked on this long journey to minimize the effects of tourism on our environment, integrating with our community and taking part in the solution of social problems through activities such as waste management, natural resource use, informing employees about health, safety and child protection and granting equal rights. We believe that the work we do on purchasing issues will contribute to ensuring sustainability in tourism.
We believe that the economical use of natural resources and the effective management of these resources are very important in ensuring the sustainability of tourism. We aim to be an exemplary business in the hotel industry in the Mediterranean region with our environmental practices.
Our goal is to comply with all applicable environmental laws, statutes and regulations, and to benefit the communities we serve through high quality service, economic growth, environmental protection, community participation and, of course, employment. We will determine our environmental goals and objectives, continuously improve our environmental performance and minimize the effects of our activities on the environment. We will raise environmental awareness among our guests, suppliers and society in general.
ENVIRONMENTAL PURCHASING POLICY
As RuinAdalia Hotel, we aim to apply sustainability principles in purchasing in order to minimize the environmental impact of the service we provide.
Within the Scope of this Purpose;
- We purchase locally made manufactured goods rather than imported products, except where it is essential for our businesses.
- We prefer local companies instead of multinational companies when procuring services at non-essential points.
- We first research and choose alternatives that are class A and/or consume less energy for the machinery purchased in our business.
While choosing the products to be purchased;
- Those made from recycled products or those that are recyclable,
- Sustainably produced/sustainably sourced,
- Fair Trade/Organic/FSC/MSC, etc. those who have documents,
- Delivered with less packaging,
- Those that save energy and water,
- We take care to use/consume products that are suitable for natural life, comply with hunting bans, rules for the protection of threatened species, and do not harm the ecosystem.
- We take care to ensure that they comply with environmentally sustainable criteria.
- We share our sustainability efforts with our suppliers and subcontractors.
